The Sunday 7: Trending Towards Spring
A BTS moment and my go-to athleisure faves.
02 April 2023 -
No. 1. Behind the Scenes
The team was back at it this week at a shoot for an upcoming Threshold x Studio McGee collection at Target!
No. 2. Coastal Cowgirl
TikTok has spoken and we are here for it – the latest trend we see moving from fashion into the home and vice versa is the coastal cowgirl look. Think every day, lived-in textures and woven details that lend themselves to a laidback moment. We love to see it in everything from a textural light fixture to a favorite pair of denim shorts and an effortless knit sweater – paired with boots, of course.

No. 3. A Project of Our Own
We are sharing the intro to the SM spec home – our own project in Red Ledges! I spent years talking Syd into taking this risk and seeing it all come to life is beyond exciting. It was a refreshing challenge to design without a specific client in mind – it allowed us to push the design in new ways. Hoping someone sees this beautiful home and falls in love with the details (and the view!!!) like our whole team has.
No. 4. My Weekend Wardrobe
Varley has become my go-to on those days I need to feel put together enough to go out and run errands, but when comfort is still the main priority. Their DoubleSoft material is the coziest thing I have felt and, no joke, I wore this pullover at least three days in a row when I first got it.

No. 5. A Facial Treatment in a Bottle
Consider me influenced – I saw people raving about this spray, so I had to try it for myself. It’s really as good as they say if you have skin that is prone to flare ups like mine. I spray it on after I work out to calm my skin down and ensure that it’s extra clean.

No. 6. An Unexpected Piece
This week we talked about using a pedestal in your home. I love the way this unexpected design element instantly adds visual interest (we all remember mine was the perfect place to display a tumbleweed I found on the side of the road – there’s inspiration all around!).

No. 7. Questions to Ask Your Contractor
Coming up this week, we are also sharing some of the questions to ask your builder if you are looking to build a home. Having gone through this experience myself I know how invaluable a resource like this can be.
