Mexico and Mermaid Summer

Our good friend celebrated his 40th birthday in Mexico, and Syd and I were lucky enough to tag along. Truly a perfectly timed trip! Between our packed schedules and the kids’ month of mayhem, some time away to reconnect and soak up the sun was just what we needed. I’m grateful to have such great friends and to be able to visit such a beautiful place (and eat lots of chips and guac haha).

This Mother’s Day was so sweet and simple and I couldn’t have asked for more. We made it home from our trip just in time to dive into dance mom life and there is no place I would rather be. I’m the luckiest knowing that these three made me a mom.

The weather in Utah dropped back down to cold and gloomy while we were in Mexico so the humidity and heat were welcomed with open arms. I packed up some new pieces from Sézane and they were perfect; dressed up when I needed an outfit for dinner or pared back for a day of lounging.

This week was a busy one and as soon as I got home to get the girls to all of their activities and catch up on work meetings, I was off to Virginia to celebrate our Kohler x Studio McGee collection.

Summer is so close I can taste it. I have been feeling so inspired by the mermaid girl summer trend and am ready to embrace it completely, jelly sandals and all.
