Inside the Trend | Faux Fur

26 January –

The latest in our Inside the Trend series where we explore one design element, from home interiors to wardrobe staples, we’re loving.

Trends come and go, of course, but we love when an old one comes back for another round in our homes and closets. Fur (always faux!) is the latest to be added back into rotation. From coats that are reminiscent of our glamorous, and a tad eccentric, grandmother, to shearling on a kitchen stool, winter is the perfect time to dabble in the faux fur trend. We love that these pieces are an investment in that they can be switched out seasonally to add some cozy textures and warmth during the colder months. Here are some of our favorite moments of inspiration from past Studio McGee projects and a few wardrobe staples that embrace materials like mohair and shearling.

No. 01
Shearling

Shearling

A neutral and elevated shearling chair, McGee & Co.’s Magda Teddy Bear Boucle Lounge Chair is textural and modern. With a white oak frame, plush seating, and subtle tufting, the shearling chair is masterfully crafted, bringing comfort to your home in two colorways.

No. 02
Mohair

Mohair

McGee & Co.’s Carmella Mohair Chair reimagines a traditional design with subtly modern details. Crafted to bring a luxurious feel to your space, its seat is comfortable and inviting, while its tufted, rounded back feels sophisticated. Featuring red oak legs and camel upholstery, the neutral tone of the chair lends flexibility to styling.
