Shea’s Holiday Look

I love an excuse to dress-up  

and between polished looks for Netflix filming and design presentations, and donning my go-to athleisure for days spent working from home or running the girls around, I don’t get many opportunities to embellish my daily wardrobe. I love the holiday season because it affords me the opportunity to justify wearing all the sparkles and velvet! If there is a chance to wear a dress like this, a pair of shoes like these or a bold lip like this, I’m going to seize it. While the halls have all been decked at our home, I’m ready to deck out my wardrobe and get in the festive spirit.

Favorite get-ups 

Whether you’re planning an outfit for a full-on festive affair, or you’re looking for a simple piece to elevate your look, I’m sharing all my favorites here. This tulip-sleeve dress is a perfect party pick. I love the cut and the festive shade of green. This J.Crew dress has a fun touch of sparkle and would be so great paired with a gorgeous coat.  

Even if it’s not a dinner party that requires more formal attire, I’m still adding some shine to my holiday outfits, and this ruffle neck top paired with jeans is just the right amount of festive flair. For those days I know I’ll be home baking up a cookie storm with the girls, a cozy but elevated knit like this will be my go-to.  

Glittering accessories and shoes 

The beauty of dressing for the holiday season is that it’s just meant to be fun. Whether I’m adding sparkle to an evening gown or just want to add some shine to a sweater and jeans, these earrings dress things up perfectly. I also love the subtle glimmer of this pair and the texture of this braided velvet headband. How perfect are these velvet-bow heels for the season?! And if you love the bow detail like I do, but need a little sparkle, this pair is sure to wow.  

Sparkling and bold touches 

I’m topping off my look with a touch of bold color and sparkle sprinkled into my makeup routine. Charlotte Tilbury eye palettes are a staple, and this palette is perfect for a festive, smokey eye. No holiday look is complete without the lips! I’ve been loving my berry-toned Bobbi Brown lipsticks, but I also love to mix in a striking punch of color, like these YSL lipsticks, or even this shade of red Chanel polish on my nails.
